XP Not Advancing 5e

It looks like the xp no longer automatically advances to the next tier when a character levels. I tested in a campaign with no extensions. Just to verify, I use the method of dragging/dropping a new level from the "classes" sheet onto the character.

XP has never automatically advanced in the base ruleset. It's always been manual entry. There is, I think, an extension which does this - and so if that was happening before it is likely you were using that extension and it is no longer functions correctly.
