FGU updater starts updating and then disappears without finishing

So on my Mac and my wife's Mac we have an issue where we are updating FG with the updater. It gets around halfway and then it disappears. If we launch the updater again it will pick up where it left off and finish updating and allow us to launch FG from its menu. Super weird and been going on for a few months now.

Try the troubleshooting in that link. It can happen after installing or re-installing from scratch.
