Wild *** guess - less than 50/50 for licensed material. It's because licensed properties from big companies often have licenses preventing the use of intellectual property meant to stop kock off computer games while allowing the use by licensed game companies. The exclusionary terms are so general they usually apply to VTTs, unless an insider knows what a VTT is.
That said, game mechanics can't be copyrighted so a ruleset with no licensed material is possible, though the "More Core" or other general use ruleset might make more sense.

SmiteWorks rarely does conversions themselves. They rely upon an active developer community who gets involved and do the conversions for the RPG products that they love. More info here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?67735-Publishers-looking-for-conversions-for-Fantasy-Grounds
Why might not SW do the conversions themselves? Simple; most rulesets do not sell enough copies to pay for the hundreds or thousands of developer hours needed to develop a full new ruleset. That's why most rely upon the passion of a community developer to do it.
BUT, any RPG can be played using the default CoreRPG ruleset. It just takes more time from the GM to set things up. Some examples here: Share Game System Character Sheets (fantasygrounds.com) (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?23138-Share-Game-System-Character-Sheets)
You can also use one of the generic community rulesets such as XCore, which is designed to be configurable for all sorts of games. See: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?76360-Introducing-the-new-XCore-Ruleset

It turns out that in Reddit Foundry has a module and system developer in the Foundry VTT sphere who is currently working on a system for Marvel Multiverse RPG in Foundry Virtual Tabletop (https://www.reddit.com/r/MarvelMultiverseRPG/comments/1cbm7ei/testers_wanted_for_inprogress_mmrpg_system_in/ ). This is a rapidly growing popular game ranked in top 6 and Roll20 already uses it [FG should consider seeing if Marvel will do the same with them]. I really like FG but whoever creates the better ruleset for it will have a very active community of players streaming to their site.

Best place to make sure the community gets it is through the feature request. We are using it to see what the community wants and acting accordingly.

Has there been any developments on this ruleset for FGU. I looked at this within Demiplane and it looks great but my go-to vtt is FGU. I own all the physical books but looking for a platform. Worse case scenario is I go dice\paper and just the base FGU for maps and tokens. Hmmmm

Not that I've heard. But it's always possible.
Have you considered just using XCore?

Hi LordEntrails, no I haven't to be honest. I would presume there would be some FGU dice setup needed right.
Thanks ;)

Damned created an extension to work with XCore that handles the Marvel die.

I have to share this on a Marvel RPG thread. Now I want to play Marvel Multiverse (https://www.youtube.com/embed/ohDqA8jPO4Q?si=xh8Et-R3kShApidI) bad!

I did run a one-shot using the Damned xcore and it went well. Go into it knowing it doesn't have bells and whistles baked in, but the die roller does what you need it to and if you run it with demiplane as well so folks know their characters, it goes relatively smoothly.

I've run a session only thus far. Was alright. It would be nice to have at least a "unofficial ruleset" if that is possible in the Forge. That way for those of us with all the books we could punch in the data without having to go through a steep learning curve.
This ruleset really needs to come out on FGU :)

I Would 100% buy this if Smiteworks were to get the license for an official conversion, Also as far as i am aware there is not even pdf versions of the game yet which surely has to make conversions harder as you have to type everything in manualy.

I would have thought that Marvel RPG was a lot more widely used than GI Joe, Power Rangers or Transformers which, from a non-American point of view, seems to be really niche games.

Got to admit i was rather suprised when those games came out let alone on any vtt because as you said they are quite niche not watched gi joe since the 80s or early 90s in the uk, Heck if they just released pdf's i'd use the exstention that was made and add in all the text myself.

A lot of development gets driven by the RPG publisher - they engage with SmiteWorks and SW determine the best way to develop the products - based on complexity, publisher desires, licensing implications, etc.. As The Marvel RPG website lists Roll20 as the "Official Virtual Tabletop" there may have restrictions on other VTT engagement. I'd recommend reaching out to the publisher and ask them to consider working with Fantasy Grounds...

Will do Trenloe because they are missing out on sales (two times with me as i would buy the pdf and the ruleset here) and i really do not want to go back to roll20 just for that system.

Add another to the would like to see an official ruleset camp, but on the conversion front (admittedly not for everyone) you can cut and paste from Demiplane without the pdf. Here's an example I threw together for the Spiderman character. You can do the die rolls from the character sheet. It might be possible to play with xcore to deal with damage and edge/trouble automation, but it's easy enuff to do it manually on the fly.

If you're interested, I could run a oneshot for folks at the next gameday to see if it's for you.

Vote for it here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featurerequests/featurerequests.php?titlesearch=Marvel%20Multivers e%20RPG But, if you really want it, as recommended above - reach out and try to get some momentum from the publisher's side.

As I'm sure Doug can back up, Licensing plays into a LOT of those calculations. Since they already have a license with WotC and Hasbro, the GI Joe and Transformers license is a LOT easier.
