Something is wrong with the xp tab in the party sheet now. I can't add new xp entries and I can't edit the value of existing entries. I loaded up without extensions and it seems to still be happening.

It's happening in AD&D too.

What themes are you using? I'm not seeing it in 5e with the default or official D&D theme.

You actually are seeing it as I look. I am unable to add a new encounter xp event manually or edit the xp value of the existing entries. I used to be able to right click and add a new entry under encounters and then populate it. I also tested in the DND official with no new extensions.

Doing a quick test with no extensions or themes:
- you can't right-click -> add record for Encounters and Quests directly in the PS.
- You can use the green "+" button to add a new quest, but there's no button for adding an encounter record.
- You can't change the XP of the quest row in the PS, but you can open the quest (click the link) and change it there. Similarly if there is an encounter entry, you can open that up and change the XP.

As you can see in my screenshot I was able to add multiple quests via the green + button; and populate them. I was also able to click on the link button of an existing quest and edit the XP. So I think it is working as intended. Not sure what is missing for you.

I am not referring to quests, I am referring to the encounters side of the xp in party sheet. It has no + button and existing encounters are not editable. I realize I can drag an encounter and drop it in there, but that's not how I allocate XP normally. This functionality was in place prior and is now missing. Also the right click function that Trenloe mentioned was there as well.

OK, I see what you are getting at. Looks like at some point in the past the add button and right click add was removed from the Encounter part but remains for quests. I'm not sure when it was removed but I updated the wiki article on the party sheet a year ago and it wasn't there then. If you want to use encounters then add a blank encounter to the Encounters area and you can just type in the XP. You can just change the XP whenever you want to award more and un-check the AW? button next to it to award the edited amount. You can also drag and drop the original encounter back into the encounter area if you want to have several available. Or just use quests to award XP instead of encounters since it's the same thing. You can also drag any number field and drop it onto the xp area in the panel above of any player to award whatever amount was in the number field to that one player.

Zacch, I appreciate the response. This functionality was there until fairly recently, certainly much more recently than a year ago. Believe this started in December timeframe. Additionally, yes I can add xp via the quest side, but I would prefer it work as intended on the encounter side. I am using the quest side for encounter xp presently. From my perspective, this was working and it's broken now (for whatever reason). I would like to see it fixed, with at minimum an add button on the encounter side to add an entry instead of it being broken (perpetually) and living with it.

I'm not sure if it's broken or whether it has simply been removed for some reason. But I'll draw it to the attention of the devs.

I looked through the SVN history logs, and there was never an Add button for the encounters, only for quests. (at least for 5E and PFRPG/3.5E rulesets that I checked) The XP frame has been standardized across multiple rulesets to all work the same as of December 2023 ruleset release, so other rulesets might have behaved slightly differently in prior versions.

They might have had an extension that was doing this portion for them, think it's part of Critically Awesome Essentials for instance.
