Is there a manual for the d20 system that details everything from character creation on? I played D&D 2nd Edition (not online) for about 8 yrs so all of this is completely new to me. I'm still trying to create my character but its so much different than what I'm used to. Any tips or links would be appreciated. Thanks

That question is a little vague, what do you mean by the d20 system, if you D&D then the players handbook is what you need, if you mean d20 Modern then that is the rulebook you need.

If you mean an OGL game then some of those books will have character creation rules, others will state you need the D&D / D20 Modern rule book for their use.

The majority of the rules for D&D and D20 Modern are to be found at the d20 system website (https://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=d20), but one ot the things that is not included is the character creation rules for these you need to buy a book I'm afraid.

If you mean with regards to how to create a character using FGII then that's a completely different issue and one many people here can help you with...

This site (https://www.d20srd.org) has a pretty good reference of de d20 rules.

The SRD is great as a reference, but it's missing some vital things needed to play (the amount of XP needed to level, for example). You need at least the core book from the system you're playing (PHB for D&D, D20 Modern Core Rulebook for modern) to be able to play.
