I want to make a suggestion:
can you make it so DMs can share or give an NPC or vehicle to the player, to use as a pet or companion?

You can do this now; see the video linked in this post. https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?43513-Video-Giving-player-control-of-an-NPC&p=387176#post387176 It's an older one made for Classic but everything is the same in Unity except that you will need to enable the Token: Party vision and movement option.
