I will first say that this is a wonky issue that no one else will probably have.
I only have this problem when connecting to an AD&D 2nd Edition game. It used to work fine until early December so I expect an update caused the issue.
1. Launch Discord and it works fine. Tried using the browser version on both Firefox and Edge as well as the Discord standalone installation.
2. Launch FG to get to main screen. All still fine.
3. Choose the particular 2e game and connect. As soon as the character selection pops up, I start getting RTC Disconnects in Discord and the audio goes to garbage in both directions.
4. This is the kicker. I attempted to run Discord on a separate computer, but once I reach character selection on the first computer, RTC disconnects resume.
I am behind a NAT router and the firewall on the PC is off, and as I said, this all used to work for this game with no setting changes on the computer or router. It still works fine for a Pathfinder game with another GM.
Syrinscape is NOT enabled for the game, but we've tried it both ways. I have tried running FG with and without running as Admin. I'm running the Live update.
From the description of the problem, it sounds as though FG is stomping on the ports that Discord uses, but they're not supposed to be using the same ports.
No, I do not have another 64 bit machine I could test on. The machine I do have is running Windows 10.
You'd think this is a sound card conflict of some kind with the new Syrinscape upgrade, but once Discord also failed running on a separate platform, that possibility disappears.
As I said, this is a really wonky issue and none of the other players are experiencing this issue in the 2e game.
Is there an executable flag or something to disable all audio features in FG?
