I had been playing 5E until now, but suddenly 5E disappeared from the ruleset. 5E campaign cannot be loaded. Is there anyone in the same situation? Please someone help me.

Try to close FG and re-open, and then Force Update in the settings, you might have had some data corruption from the latest updates.

Hello, Laerun.
Thank you for the advice. The same situation occurs even after a forced update and PC restart. 5E is a situation that has disappeared.
Can I ask a question? If I uninstall FGU and then reinstall it, will the quests and tables I created remain?
thank you.

Yes, all your campaigns will remain. But an uninstall should not be necessary. Go into your FG Data folder (folder icon top left corner of the launch screen) and then the ruleset folder, delete 5e.pak and then update.

Hello LordEntrails.
Thank you for your advice. When I deleted 5E.pak and forced update, the 5E ruleset was displayed, but many script errors occurred. Also, the campaigns, tables, etc that I had created had disappeared. The game cannot continue with this. Do I have no choice but to give up? I can only think of the 4.4.8 update as an dererioration. There are also many problems with the DM Guild's mods.

Extensions often break when we have ruleset updates and it often take a few days for the various extension authors to make updates. Try turning off all extensions and open a new campaign. If you still have errors, then do then try deleting the corerpg.pak as maybe it was corrupted. Also make sure you have no sub-folders in the ruleset folder.

If that solves the errors, then you can re-enable the extensions one at a time until you identify which one/ones is causing the errors and then let the developer know what errors you are getting and when/how.

As for your missing tables etc. We can probably recover those too. What is in your FG Data/campaigns folder? Can you provide a screen shot of the folder with details including file size? And if your campaign folder is there, a screenshot with details of that folder too.

Thank you. LordEntrails

I deleted corerpg.pak, forced the update, and started a new campaign without any extensions, but it seems like a script error appears when loading corerpg.pak.
FGU operation may also be malfunctioning.

My notes, tables, images, and stories I created have disappeared.
If there is a way to recover, could you please tell me?

My FGU Campaign may be dead.

The Forced Update is for updating the main client; not the content.

Try going to FG data folder, renaming rulesets/extensions/modules/vault to different names; then run a new Check for Updates. If you are not running any campaigns, I'm guessing you have some older code folders unpacked/installed.

You can also provide a zipped up copy of your campaign for us to review.

Thank you. Moon Wizard.

I did it, following your advice.
FGU seems to be working fine, but everything I created is missing.
There is a problem when loading my previous campaign. Unfortunately, so I will create a new one.

Can I ask a question here?
1: Can I back up the notes, stories, tables, and map images I created?
2: Modified DLC maps or newly created maps using the map module will not be saved in the images folder of the campaign folder. How can I save it?
I think that If I can save these, my campaign may be saved even if there is a problem with the update.

It's really frustrating when an update destroys any campaign I've created.

Your campaign data is stored in your data folder. Click on the folder icon top left of the start screen to get to the data folder. You'll find your campaign inside the campaigns folder. It may have gotten corrupted in some way. See this article on how to get your data back https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/1207304196/Restore+Campaign+to+an+Earlier+Save

You should make a backup of the campaign folder every so often just in case of situations like this. Note also that an update to FG should not have any effect on your campaign data.

@poposkent - for the campaign that displays errors, open up that campaign and then compile the logs and attach the result ZIP file in this thread. Details on how to compile the logs can be found in the FG Wiki here: https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/1242136781/How+to+Compile+Logs

We can review the logs, which may point towards what might be causing all of the errors. But, ultimately, if you can load a brand new 5E campaign without any errors then the problem with your original campaign is probably related to extensions - try disabling extensions and see if you still get the errors.

Thank you everyone for your advice.
I was able to restore the notes, images, tables, etc. that I had created.
I struggled to restore the data for a really long time.
There will be some errors, but the campaign can continue.

1: An extension was the cause.
2: Even with extensions turned off, many errors occurred and I could not play the game.
3: When looking at the error log, there was a problem loading CampaignRegistry.lua, so we overwrote CampaignRegistry.lua that was created with the new campaign.
4: I followed the advice and renamed and overwritten the db.xml.

Thank you so so much.
