Hello!
Last evening's session was interupted on a number of occasions by player's game either Crashing or going non-responsive. By the end of the session my system was using ~14 gigs of memory and 3 of my players were reporting memory usage in the 7-9 gigs area (ultimately FGU went catatonic and needed to be force closed after about 20 minutes of waiting on my machine). We are currently playing though the Tyranny of Dragons campaign and spent the entirety of the 3.5 hours in the dungeon in chapter 6/on one dungeon map for the entire session. After the session one of my player's who works in IT and myself (a software engineer by day) decided to reconviene this evening to see if we could figure out what the issue was as we've been playing via FG/FGU since 2018 as a group and never had issues like this previously. After about 2 hours of trying things, restarting the app we found that any time a pointer is used (Draw Arrow, Draw Square, Draw Circle or Draw Cone) on a map the "physical memory" use on the server side is jumping 2-5MB per polling in Task manager and on the Client machine we were seeing a 1-3MB jump.
The server is currently running on a Windows 10 box with an i7-6700K at stock clocking, 32GB of DDR4, a GTX 970 and running on a Gen3 PCIe m.2 drive.
The client is currently running on a Windows 10 box with an i7-8700K with a mild over clock, 32gigs of DDR4, GTX 1080 TI and running on an M.2 drive as well.
To verify that we were not running afoul of Extenions, we disabled all and replicated the behavior a second time.
We then continued to create a new campaign, with 1 "player" (literally a character record with only a name set) and a single 440 x 320 map. we added a few bandits to the map, tried targing them everything worked as expected, as soon as the player used Draw Arrow on the map my memory usage began climbing from the 470-475mb that it had been at to over 700mb in just a few minutes of doing nothing but watching task manager.
The Arrows drawn when targeting do not appear to cause this issue only the primatives that are added from the Draw pointers menu. I've attached the test campaing folder zipped to this post in case it can be of any help, it does use 1 extension "Theme:D&D - Official" although that's does not appear to be related to the issue in our testing.
If I can provide any more information please let me know.
Thank you!
