1e/2e Character Sheet

Hello, I'm creating 2e characters. For instance, a 1st level fighter with 12 strength, no bonus to hit/damage. I give him a weapon proficiency in longsword, and drop one into inventory. However, on the actions tab, it is showing an automatic -2 for the ATK roll. Why?

Go to Skills tab and assign proficiency to the weapon.

Each class has a non-proficiency penalty. If you have no proficiency applied to that weapon it's going to use that.
