When I try to add an image FGU crashe.

When I attempt to load an image into Images with the arrow for loading the corresponding files window says working then crashes.
Please help.
Also I checked ram usage as it happened and I am at 16%.
I have already found a work around but would still appreciate your thoughts on the issue above.

Can you walk me through the steps that you are using to load the image? (i.e. open Assets window, click Images, click Folder, drop file in folder, click Refresh button)
Is this a custom image, or an image from a store/forge module? If custom, what format, file size and dimensions?
