Hi,

i've been trying to figure out how to delete deathmarkers. I found one method/thread, but it only seems to work for a specific ruleset. The same buttons were not present in the ruleset that I am using (which is 5E dnd). I wind up reusing the same map for different encounters, and it would be nice to be able to clear off the deathmarkers from the previous encounters.

The button for deathmarkers won't appear until you have a PC or NPC from the combat tracker on the map. It's the skull and crossbones icon when something is placed.

Hello,

There is a deathmarker layer for the battlemap which automatically gets updated as you run the encounter. After the encounter is complete, you can delete that layer and you will have a clean map so you can use the map again for different encounter sessions.

Thank-you both. Is there a way to reset the fog of war? On larger maps I'll use different sections for different encounters, but i don't want it to seem they've been there before.

If you remove the PC tokens to another map the fog of war is automatically reset. You can also right click on a token and select reset fog of war. This will only reset it for that one token so you'd need to do it for all of them. You can also just re-add the PC tokens to the same map by dragging the green skull icon at the bottom of the CT onto the map. This will reset the FoW for all of the tokens at once.
