Ahwell... Perhaps time to start to do as old Bill himself suggested once upon a time. A pass-phrase instead of a password.

A miss spelled phrase in latin with leet-speek should be rather impossible I believe.

Modern password hacks take into account foreign and dead languages, and will cut through 13375p33k like a hot knife through butter.

Size matters, in this case - the longer your password, the more unbreakable it is. The trick is getting a 30 character password that you can both remember and type consistently. A guideline for an unbreakable password was given to us by a person at Microsoft, and is as follows:

1. Choose a random hash of alphanumerics and special characters 8-10 characters long, such as "12%09!Za"
2. Choose a phrase from a movie you love, such as "You don't know the power of the dark side". If it's a long phrase like that example and you aren't a great typist (like me, I had to edit this three times to get all the typos :P ) truncate it: "You don't know"
3. Hash the two of them together, repeating the phrase before and after the random hash, for a final result of "Youdon'tknow12%09!ZaYoudon'tknow"
4. When the time comes to change the password, keep the random hash and change the phrase, such as "IAMyourfather12%09!ZaIAMyourfather"

Voila', an ~30 character long password that you can both remember and type consistently, but is randomized to the point that no dictionary attack will be able to ever get it.

It'd be a bit sad to see all the work go into the project just to see it closed, but at the same time... There is bragging rights in being invited, eh?

Oh YES... Spent hours lately playing the Beta for Mount & Blade riding down peasants and clobbering them with a jousting lance. (Minimizing damage so I can sell them as slaves later. :) )
