View Full Version : Formatting options for Stories

I noticed that the modules have nice formatting options. They can embed a picture on a page. They can include text within a box. (Some example: if you click on the Reference section of the Core Rules, the first page is the cover of the book. At the bottom of every page there's a graphic. The Introduction page includes heading in a completely different font than the rest of the book, which I assume is really just a graphic. And on the Scenarios and Campaigns page there's a box discussing Traveller Rule Zero.)

Are these formatting options available to normal GMs as we create Stories? If so, how?

These are specific to the Reference Manual, not story entries.

You can use the Reference Manual Builder to create your own reference manual. See the Reference Manual Builder page in the Wiki here: https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/2032304129/Reference+Manual+Builder

Thanks. I guess I've got more reading to do.

Video Twenty six may be of some help here as well https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?55797-How-do-I-in-Unity

I've read the referenced Wiki pages and watched the video. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to add the new Reference Manual to the Module listing. Or somewhere where the players can find it.

I'm sure it's something obvious, but I'm drawing a blank.

(The good news is that I've just converted a bunch of Story pages that represented public background information into a Reference Manual. It was a fast process.)

When you exported the module, did you click to include the Reference Manual as well?

If this is something you want your players to use then export the reference as a player module. Click on export at the bottom of the library screen and fill out the form. Make sure you tick the players checkbox. See video forty one here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?55797-How-do-I-in-Unity

Otherwise you'll need to share the pages one at a time.
