View Full Version : Rolling on multiple tables at once

Hey there,

I am trying to do a quick and dirty NPC generator. For this I have made a few tables for each property I want to roll (such as First and Last name, Goals, Marks, Interacion Traits and so on).

I have found a way to roll on all these tables at once with columns in a table. (see attachment)

However, I am unhappy with the output format into

A.) The chat window, because it gets completely cluttered up by the output (see attachment)
B.) A story entry, because it also inputs the names of the tables where the rolls came (see attachment)

Is there any workaround to get only a textual output into the chat window or a simplified story entry?

Thanks

You can't control the order of table results. Because they get reported int he order the dice finish rolling.

Instead of using a table to roll on all the other tables, use a story template to generate your NPC. Another question regarding this: now that I have invested quite a lot of time in my Tables and will now undoubtedly do so with my Story Templates as well, is there a way to export these items, so that I can use them in other campaigns as well?

You can. Organize all of your tables into a unique campaign if possible, put the data into groups (the drop down groups for the data types).
Export via the modules section on the modules page, lower frame, or the chat window /export module command. The biggest thing is not creating and loading the module in the exact same campaign that you are/were creating the content in, as it will undoubtedly create confusion and problems. Preview the changes and work in a new and SEPARATE campaign.
After your work is in module format, you can load it shotgun within your other games and campaigns.
