View Full Version : LoS - Is there a way to remove the "blur" effect of the fog of war?

I plan on using a world map with Line of Sight enabled for travel, however the fog of war blur effect causes text and other symbols to be unreadable while not actively in line of sight. Is there any way to disable this?

Using Fantasy Grounds Unity, 5E Ruleset

Welcome to the forums.

You can either have Fog of War on or off; but you can't do anything about the colour of the areas that have been explored. So I think no is your answer.

Another way to do overland maps is to use the global mask rather than line of sight. Mask the whole map and then reveal areas as the players reveal them. It's a little more fiddly but it does mean that the areas which have been revealed aren't obscured by fog of war.
