When using the Syrinscape player with the CoS module, it shows all the players the DM map in the player window. How can i turn this off? Players shouldn't see a whole map let alone the DM map.
Thanks!

Could you provide more information on which exact steps you are following?
The Syrinscape sounds for the CoS module only contains triggers for sounds that show up in the Sound: Context window when the appropriate Story record or Reference Manual entry is open. It shouldn't have anything to do with maps, or showing anything to the players.
If you shared the DM map on accident by right clicking and selecting Share, or by dropping the link on the chat window; then you can unshare by opening the Images list in the sidebar, and clicking on the circled P icon next to that map (i.e. shows record is Public).
In general, you will want to primarily use the Player maps only, as they have GM only visible shortcut pins to pull up room information and encounters.

I never share the DM map. In fact I never use it since the player map has the pins with the info I need. Here is a screenshot showing it's not shared and showing the DM map on the Syrinscape player:

Apparently the upload photo function isn't working.

If you send me an email address I can send the screen shot. I can't get an image to post here.
Thanks!

To attach an image, click the "Go Advanced" button at the bottom of the reply window, then click the attachment button in the toolbar - which opens a Manage Attachment window where you can upload your screenshot.

That is a problem of Syrinscape, not of the Fantasy Grounds module. Each soundset in Syrinscape has a background picture (chosen by the Syrinscape team) which is shown in the player and in the Master's soundboard: normally it's the picture on the cover of the handbook, or one of the pictures inside the book that represent the chapter that each Soundset is supposed to be used for; strangely enough, for the Curse of Strahd chapter "Into the Mist" they picked one of the maps. To illustrate, look at this screenshot of the Master's soundboard for a Curse of Strahd campaign, with the "Into the Mists" soundset selected:

On the bottom left corner, there's the picture of the map that you are talking about. The same picture will appear on the Syrinscape Player if my players connect to my Syrinscape session. Notice that I don't have Fantasy Grounds running at all, it's just pure Syrinscape and nothing else.
So your best option is to contact the Syrinscape team and ask to change the picture selected for the soundset.

An alternate option if you run into further issues there is to use a Discord Audio Bot and Kenku.FM to pipe your sound into Discord. It allows players to individually adjust the bots volume level for themselves (just like they can with any other person in Discord) and the only person you have to worry about having it setup and working correctly is yourself. Like usual, the DM does all the prep ;)

Heya all. :-)
Players don't see what the DM sees here (or at least they shouldn't). Players just get a basic page with only their own personal volume control.
The link for audio playback that players are using should look like this:
https://app.syrinscape.com/[sessionIDappearshere/player/
Can people confirm.

Ooo... unless this is Fantasy Grounds doing this...(?)
Someone give me more info. :-)

I'm not seeing the map showing in the Syrinscape player view. Yes, it shows in the GM master instance but not in the player - see the screenshot below.
@roomtone - please provide a screenshot showing the issue you're seeing. Instructions on attaching an image are provided in post #7 above.

I thought I was going crazy, because I was 100% sure that the Syrinscape player DOES show the picture, but when I saw your screenshot it clicked: the picture does not show up in the WEB player view, but it does show up in the Syrinscape Online Player app (see screenshot below).
I think that's the "Syrinscape player" that roomtone is referring to.

Again, running Syrinscape without Fantasy Grounds running

Ah, right - that makes sense. Will be good to get full details from @roomtone. And if that's the issue, it's a simple fix - use the web player not the online player!
