Hi

I haven't seen this anywhere else, so I am sorry if it's been addressed.
Is there any way to create a table resource like the Action Point pool in Fallout or Conan rpgs?

I use FGU to run a lot of games that are not natively in FGU, so I use CoreRPG a lot.

Example GI Joe RPG/Transformers uses Story Points

Some PbtA games have group resources as well.

Is there some way that I am not seeing to create a Table resource? Or is there an extension that I am not seeing to get?

please advise Thank you!

I know some rulesets have the ability. So it's possible. Not sure if their are any CoreRPG extensions that add this ability. Hopefully someone can point you to one though :)

I'm not sure of any that add a group resource, but if the group is happy to adjust on the fly and keep it updated on their own sheets, then you could try the Hero Point extension.

I have seen this and am using it, but there are some games that have both player and group resources. So it solves 1 thing but not the other. I am kind of surprised no one else has decided to develop something like this. Or if there was a generic extension to buy.

You can suggest to the developer of that extension to make it a global resource and see if it's able to be made. Just nothing native to the program.

The only ruleset that might have something like this that I know of is Star Trek Adventures. You might look into that one to see what the coding looks like.

The Gensys FFG ruleset (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?53302-Genesys-(FFG-RPG)-work-in-progress) has Story points (player and GM) that are tokens on the desktop. The players can remove tokens from their stack, but can't add them - only the GM can do that. If you're interested in coding maybe look at this as a starting point?

That ruleset is vaulted and not accessible to see the coding.

Last year I made a pool that all players can interact with as a proof of concept...
