Good Evening - I'm GMing a 5E Dungeons and Dragons Adventure, and in preparation, I'm trying to take ownership of a few characters (NPCs to fill out the party), I did the right click on the character and removed my owning the character. Then I did the Right Click again and took ownership, but I can't get the token to appear on screen, above the Chat Window or anywhere else - is it because I'm claiming the character as the GM? Or am I doing something else wrong? I'm still getting the hang of running an on-line campaign
Thanks for your help

Every character not owned by the players is owned by the GM; and they do not appear on the desktop. Only characters owned by connected players will appear on the desktop.

Thanks for your response, but then I'm wondering if I can put the token for the NPCs on the battlemap, or to use them in combat at all. I'm afraid I'm not explaining things clearly, but what I'm trying to do is, during the adventure, to have tokens for the PC Party Members, and tokens for the 3 NPC's that are being used to fill out the party, but I'm not able to move the NPC token to the battlemap so they can participate in the combat and other encounters. Am I making sense?

All characters not owned by a player can be used by the GM. The only reason to take ownership of them as a GM is to prevent the players from owning them and looking at them.
From the Character selection window you can drag the character to the combat tracker and from there to any maps as needed. You can also drag them from the character selection window to the party order tab so that they show up int he party roster and get a share of the gold and XP, if you wan that.

You have to add anything that is going to be used in combat, NPC or PC first to the combat tracker and then from the combat tracker to the map.
As GM you don't need ownership of PCs unless you are playing them.

Hi; first off, sorry for the delay in responding, but I ran into other issues that we are working on. But I was able to take the token from the Combat Tracker to a Battle Map that was in the Images folder. So I can call this one solved YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
