Has anyone run across this issue?

Uploaded my campaign from Google Drive. Then downloaded campaign to different computer and then into Fantasy Grounds on said computer. Open up my images and some of them are no longer there. The assets they were associated to had their names changed slightly by the computer(i.e. an apostrophe changed to an underscore).
All the line of sight work is still there along with my shortcuts but the image of the map is gone. Although it is still present in the Assets folder.
What do I do here?

Thanks,

Trenloe

I've replied to your first post. Please don't post multiple times about the same issue - it leads to confusion and posts all over the place - which is inefficient. I'll delete your first post, so we can just look at the issue here.

My response to that post was:

The campaign db.xml file will need to be updated with the filename changes. A find/replace may be enough for this. You can try it yourself - searching for the original filenames and changing them to the new ones - but make a complete backup of your whole campaign directory before doing any edits!

Sorry about that. I though the older thread might not get looked at. My bad.

But... Thank you! You just saved me from a huge loss of hours.

Do you know if there is anyway to avoid that in the future?

Don't use special characters in file names, ever. When you copy files from one operating system to another, some copy programs and operating systems will automatically replace special characters that that operating system does not like. As well, some programs written for multiple operating systems (like FG) will have problems with some special characters, it may be on all o/s's or just some.

Specifically, apostrophes are a character you should never use in a file name. Same thing for all of these
!@#$%^&*{}[]\|;:"<>/`~+=
