So I'm not sure if I'm just doing it wrong or if this is an actual bug.

My group and I were playing with the sound effects last Sunday in preparation for starting our CoS campaign back up, but the Unarmed sound effect never fired for Unarmed attacks. I've been trying to fix it off and on all week and going through the wiki, but I can't get it to fire.

I tried using a RegEx in place of just the attack's name, but that doesn't seem to have fixed the issue. I have a feeling that I'm overlooking something obvious, so I wanted to see if anyone had any tips. If I can get this working, I'd made someone a very happy Monk.

Thank you in advance!

This is working for me. Was it only the Unarmed attack or any weapon. Also what ruleset are you using?

Using DnD 5E rules. I had to make a custom attack for an unarmed strike but I called it "Unarmed". I tried changing the name on the attack but that didn't work either.

Can you screenshot the chat box? I did pretty much the same thing as you created a new weapon line; called it Unarmed; added in damage dice. Whenever I make such an attack I get all the different sounds depending on whether I hit, miss, or crit. GIven that everything else is working for you (I assume), then something is awry with the output to chat I suspect.

Okay. I figured out what was going on thanks to your screenshot, @Zacchaeus.

99.9% of the time, my players don't actually select a target using CTRL-Click and I just tell them if they hit or miss. (They forget or whatever.) Any action that doesn't require actively selecting a target will fire the sound effect such as some spells.

I just need to train the players to "properly" target LOL.

Thank you for all your help!

Keep in mind Drag Rolling to the token or combat tracker should trigger the sounds and it's usually faster when doing just one or two attacks.

I tested via drag and drop; I didn't have any targets selected. How are your players making attacks if they don't use targeting or drag and drop?
