--Fill Fade--
1. On a new image paint layer create a new closed shape with fill using either line, rectangle or ellipse tool.
2. Using the Edit fade tool, hover over and fade (F+scroll) the fill of the closed shape.
3. Depending on the stroke direction the fade will either have a soft fade (expected) or a hard fade.
4. Using the Edit tool choose a single point of the closed shape and use Reverse Selected Strokes.
5.The Fade will alternate to the opposite fade. This behavior is unexpected.
--Image Paint Fade--
1.Use an image as a brush stroke. Add a fade value great enough to be seen. Fade equal to size for example.
2. Draw a line. No fade visible this is unexpected.
3. Repeat the process using only a color "Paint" as the stroke. This yields the expected faded stroke.
