So I tried to log in for our game session, and after updating I cannot connect to the lobby.

Updater runs just fine. I can run other online apps just fine. I simply can't connect to the lobby. Everything worked fine for our Monday night game.

Sometimes security software will block your application if it has changed. Check your Windows Defender and any other security software you have running to see if it is blocking your conections.

Fixed. Thanks Damned. Wasn't anything in Windows or the firewall, but you at least got me checking other things. It was an error in the port forwarding for a different game. Deleted that rule, and was able to connect to the lobby.

I had a session tonight, and two of my five players (who live in the same house) were unable to connect to the campaign. This is what they tried: Disabled third-party firewall (McAfee), deleted rules for incoming and outgoing rules in Windows Defender. They have AT&T fiber.
The first attached screenshot is of what they see when trying to join my game (my DM name is "Artimer1" and the name of my campaign is "Besith")
The second attached screenshot is of what they see when the click the "Connect" button which is circled in red in the top left of the first screenshot.

I'll reiterate that the other three players were able to join with no problems, and we all updated minutes before the start of the session. So, we are assuming it must have something to do with the internet at the couples' house? Any pointers would be much appreciated.

If they had just updated then it might be that the local security software is seeing the updated version of Fantasy Grounds as a new application and might be blocking network access. Disabling the firewall rarely fully disables the whole application (as that's what viruses do, so security software is built to still operate at some level).

It may be an issue with the Internet connection at the players house - see if they can access http://lobby.fantasygrounds.com/ from a web browser - if it works, it'll just show a blank page.

As a test, they could try using a VPN (if they have access to one) or a mobile phone hotspot.
