We are seeking one or two additional players to join us in a Starfinder campaign.
Campaign Type: Episodic
Campaign Length: 50 sessions. Currently 8 sessions into the campaign.
Game Frequency: Bi-Weekly; considering weekly.
Current schedule: Saturday nights 7p-9p-10p EST, with the possibility of Friday nights.

It has been 6 months since the Swarm first touched down on Suskillon in a bloody conflict named the Battle at Stone Sea. After the Swarm punched through the planet’s aerial and orbital defenses, its components landed near the Stone Sea, a large freshwater lake surrounding a dormant volcano. The Fifth Battalion of the Suskillon Defense Force (SDF) was closest to the site of contact and held the Swarm back long enough for the SDF to mobilize other battalions to the area. Stories of the battle have already reached near-mythical heights, as most members of the Fifth Battalion were killed in glorious, terrible combat.
Since then, the SDF has fought a losing battle against the Swarm. Though Suskillon is a friendly trading partner with the Pact Worlds, the planet’s government has yet to officially request aid, with many afraid that the Pact Worlds will claim their planet as a protectorate in “payment” for such help. However, that hasn’t stopped volunteers and mercenaries from other systems (including the Pact Worlds and the Veskarium) from journeying to Suskillon to join in the fight against the invasion. The Swarm is relentless, though, and it has already overrun and taken nearly half of the planet.
The adventure begins in the middle of one of the planet’s Dead Winters, a time of extended extreme cold weather in the planet’s southern hemisphere. Over the past few weeks, Suskillon has enjoyed something of a respite, as the Swarm appears to have ceased its near-daily attacks. Some believe the Swarm’s numbers are dwindling, and that the tide of the war will soon turn.
In an effort to replenish the ranks of the Fifth Battalion, the SDF has recruited mercenaries and offworlders, made deals with prisoners and pirates, and accepted nearly every volunteer who can hold a gun. These new soldiers—which include the PCs—are being trained and outfitted at Camp Cavalier, a small encampment just outside of Brinnoa.

Since the start of the campaign, the party's designation within the SDF is "Midnight Squad". They are currently on a rescue mission to retrieve a priest out of a mountain temple and bring him and surviving members of a lost squad, back to the city of Reos for planetary evacuation.

The campaign is relatively new, having conducted only a handful of sessions so far.
The group is relatively new to Starfinder but has moderate experience with D&D 3.5, D&D 5e, and some experience with Savage World, Deadlands, and Call of Cthulhu.
The GameMaster has an ultimate FG license so no player FG license is needed.
The current culture around the virtual table is low on role-playing and high on meta-conversations about what is happening in the game. The group is open to improving the level of role-play in-game.
New players will be guests auditioning in a session with the group with a pre-generated character and afterward, current members will vote to approve or decline permanent membership to the table. If membership is approved, a custom character will be generated for new player member, or the new player member can elect to adopt one of the pre-generated characters that are already part of the game.
Pre-generated characters:
Rosaline & XOXO: Android, Mechanic, Battle Medic. Rosaline is an android designed as a medic who has felt lost in life and has sought to find a tribe to belong to and to care for. Rosaline has designed an artificial intelligence called XOXO, which supports her as a hover drone. Rosaline has joined the Suskillion Defense Force (SDF) in order to support Suskillion against the Swarm threat.
Rokned Dangershield: Dwarf, Vanguard, Career Trooper. Rokned is a veteran of the dwarf campaigns against space goblins. Rokned sees the Swarm as an equal or greater threat to civilized peoples than the space goblins and has joined the Suskillion Defense Force to defend Suskillion against the Swarm threat. Rokned prefers melee weapons in combat. Rokned generally takes up defensive positions and holds the line of defense, to let ranged combatants weaken foes. Rokned is a natural protector and defender.
Xolum of the Hixarre of Hylax: Shrieen, Mystic, Priest. Xolum worships the Forever Queen, the goddess Hylax. Xolum feels some guilt and responsibility for the harm the Swarm has created. Xolum has joined the SDF to support the people of Suskillion from the Swarm threat. Xolum has limited telepathy and some spells as blessings of the Forever Queen. Xolum is sensitive to his insectile appearance with other humanoids that might be afraid of the Swarm and often uses a holo-cloak to appear as a dwarf or halfling.

Fayeth: Elf, Operative, Agent. An agent for the Society of the Ancient One. Becomes a member of the Starfinder society to incorporate into humanoid societies, to seek out new homes for her people amongst the stars, wherever trees grow, and to keep an eye out for threats against trees and forests.
Crerk Vald-Kriekz & Sneky-Snek: Yosoki, Mechanic, Roboticist. A member of the Starfinder Society due need for regular income, lodging, and meals. Loyal to friends. Sneky-Snek is an AI stealth drone with an amphibian/snake design; a companion to Crerk.
Occaszrut of the Drisza Clan: Vesk, Soldier, Gladiator. A member of the Starfinder Society. Looking to uphold his honor against all challengers. "I challenge you!"

Player: Josh. Character Alister Blair. Human, Solider, Pilot. Alister has joined the SDF to defend Suskillon against the Swarm threat. Alister was hoping for an assignment to a ship or fighter vessel but he was assigned to the ground forces instead.
Player: Garrett. Character: Usagi Junpei. Rabbit-folk (yosoki reskined), Solarian, Bounty Hunter. Usagi joined the SDF out of feelings of honor for the planet and system that has become his second home after losing his way and becoming far from home. The Swarm reminds him of his ancient enemy.
Player: Chris. Character: Eness Kilkesh. Lashunta (Damaya), Witchwarper, priest. Eness joined the party when escaping from the planet of Suskillion as the Swarm overran the entire planet. Eness serves as an attache to the Midnight squad.
