Hi all,

I am trying to make two different characters as a player (one is a warlock, and one is a cleric), and I seem to be having issues with the Actions/Effects of both, yet the issues are slightly different.

For the Warlock:
The Warlock ability Agonizing Blast should add the charisma modifier to the damage dealt when an eldritch blast hits an enemy. I am not seeing that extra damage show up. I looked in the Warlock Actions/Effects area of the Actions tab in the character sheet, and I don't see Agonizing blast as an Eldritch Invocation option, but I see many, many others. Am I missing something during character creation?

For the Cleric - Trickery Domain:
1. In the Cleric Actions/Effects area of the Actions tab in the character sheet, I am seeing Channel Divinity options of what appear to be all the domains, not just trickery. Am I just supposed to delete the ones that don't apply to the Trickery Cleric?
2. No matter what Channel Divinity option I click on, the description is always the same: A general description of Channel Divinity as a whole, then, a section that gives details on Channel Divinity: Turn Undead. When I click on the magnifying glass next to each Channel Divinity option, I do see different durations, effects and buttons, so I assume the proper mechanics of each Channel Divinity are present when used in an encounter, but, the same description for each just threw me off. Is that a bug?

Thanks in advance for any pointers

I assume you are using D&D 5E. When not posting in a ruleset specific forum, please state the ruleset you are using.

Agonizing blast does not automatically change the damage of the Eldritch Blast, you need to open up the action via the magnifying glass and add the CHA to the damage. What options you see will depend upon what resources you have loaded via the Library options. Make sure you have the right books loaded.

For the Cleric, either yes delete the other ones or edit the name of Channel Divinity so you know which one(s) apply.
not sure about the descriptions, will have to have someone else chime in if that is the desired behavior or not.

But it might depend, are you using the Character Wizard or drag and drop?

Yes delete the Channel Divinities that don't apply to whatever domain that you chose. You will see which channel divinities and what traits you gained by looking at the list in the abilities tab.

All the channel divinities have the same wording because it's a description of what channel divinity is, how many times you can use it etc. and all domains get the Turn Undead channel divinity. You'll also get another divinity. So, for example if you choose the Life Domain you get Channel Divinity (Preserve Life), in addition to Channel Divinity (Turn Undead). I agree with you however that the wording isn't being brought over to the actions tab correctly - or at least completely. In the above example on the action action tab link for channel divinity Preserve Life it links to the basic description and the turn undead feature; rather than for the preserve life feature, and the effect isn't correct either. You can get the correct effect by dragging the Channel Divinity: Preserve Life feature into the action tab (OPen the abilities tab; select Preserve life; switch to the abilities tab; and drag in the Preserve life feature).
