Dear all,

On mac, when starting Fantasy Grounds - by pressing check-for updates.
The updater won't launch.

Refer to the "Mac: App or Updater Do Not Run After Update" troubleshooting article in the FG Wiki: https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/2108456961/Mac+App+or+Updater+Do+Not+Run+After+Update

That article you linked says you guys are still looking into a cause. I thought I'd tell you what happened when I checked the log. The log wiped when I restarted the update so I can't include it but it gave me a "waiting for engine to close" type message a few times and then timed out. I found the engine and manually closed it. Restarted the launch screen, did the update and it went through. After the update, I was able to go back in and run the update again from the launch screen.

Thanks for the info! Hopefully that'll help the FG devs provide some improvements around this.

forgive me I love D&D but I am not very computer literate. I'm having a similar problem with updater on my macbook. How do you open the updater "manually"?

The chmod command fixed the Updater issue for me, thanks!

But FYI to help with your troubleshooting, here's what the console.log says when I click Check for Updates:
