This extension lets you create and export painting palettes. Also lets you organize WEBm assets for use real time during game play (fires/spell effects etc)

Yeah just waiting on an update and Laerun is going to unleash some chaos. We are working on some Bayne Ross quotes.

Even people that dont map but want animated spell effects etc it will be great.

Should be able to put as many as you want. If you expand the window what happens? I have a new build in the que that should help with dropping them into the window. I set it on larger window.

Ah I see, you have to be a bit precise with the dropping. Maybe you could have a bunch of blank outlines to show where to drop, if you can be bothered ;)

Thanks! Messing with sound and manipulating dragdata gave me the idea. It came together very fast. Next build fixes a few nit bugs, like I forgot to put a lock script on the subwindiw.

Few Known issues that I have fixed. Just waiting on my builds to clear approval on the Forge.

- Lock button (throws an error)
- Moved onDrop script to main window so you can be lazy when you drop the asset
- Adjusted window containing palette to properly resize when you resize main window.

Very cool extension.

Question: Is it possible to be able to add "tokens" and "portraits" to a palette?

I was picturing using this extension to have a handful of commonly used spell tokens at the ready (spirit guardians, etc.) and use them as stamped images. I just want to skip the step of digging through "Assets".

I still see the issue of the asset container not updating when the window is resized. It seems to update fine if you resize the window horizontally but not vertically.

A couple of other suggestions too.

It would be great if the items in the palette were sorted by type - backgrounds, brushes, etc.

Also, it would be awesome if there was a way to link directly to packs in your assets folders in case there is another asset you forgot to include in the palette.

It fills rows horizontally first. I'll double check but the one on forge now should be resizing properly.

I just updated and rechecked. Still there. Basically, if you have a fair number of assets (my current pallet has about 45) and then you vertically length the window, the assets get cut off around the 4th row.

Since I am currently in a semi state of chaos I went ahead and uploaded what's on my computer. It is entirely possible that was not what was on the forge.

Small Update this morning.

[FIXED] Name should now correctly display for all assets
[ADDED] An automatic sort function. Using the Smiteworks naming convention for assets it should place all like assets together (brush, tile etc)

Another issue I've encountered is that you can add the same asset multiple times to a pallet. Feels like a bug to me. What happens is that I'll grab an asset from my pallet, move/drag it a bit, then realize it's not the one I wanted, and let go - which promptly adds the asset again to the pallet.

Another suggestion is to increase the size of the thumbnails (or make it an option).

Yeah thats not a bug its drag and drop. If you make a mistake you can delete it.

(assuming each asset has some sort of asset ID). I don't see why anyone would want to add the same asset multiple times to the same pallet, do you?

That is more hassle than its worth. Bayne is not charging money for his time programming this tool.

If you accidentally add the same thing twice, delete or copy over a new asset. Not complicated.

Not sure what that means. The name is derived from the dragdata. I could probably add a edit and delete button though. Won't be until next week

Update today.

Added tab for tokens/animated tokens
Added edit and add buttons to quickly delete records.

Love this extension! Is there any way we could move the palette image. It's kind of distracting and makes it hard to see your assets. Maybe move it up next to the image and keep it that size when you resize?

Giving the items a background definitely help, thanks! I still personally would like the palette image shrunk, but I can live with it this way. Thank you again!

Just stumbled across this and am loving the idea. I assume exported modules of palettes just have links to the original sources? Wonder if folks are interested in putting together palette modules and sharing them? Would have to make sure that you indicate what art packs etc are required. But this could be a thing!

Palette modules would be a great idea! As long as people are using SmiteWorks supplied assets it should work fine. The file paths will all be the same.

I updated the token tab. I had defined them as an image vice a token so should now show up properly after dragging to a map.

Is there a way to do both with a separate tab maybe? There is a big advantage to having tokens work as images as then they aren't in the way of clicking on PCs / NPCs.

Just tried and it seems that I can't drag tokens from Assets to the Main tab.

ok I may look if I have time. This is a free extension and its not going to buy Tommy's GI Joe with a kung fu grip this Christmas.
