View Full Version : Are my old Syrinscape links/soundboards now useless?

I logged in to work on my campaigns today in preparation for my game this Friday, and I saw that they have added official Syrinscape support. Initially, I was very happy.

I have been a heavy user of Syrinscape for quite some time, and have prepped many hours of bespoke sounds (moods, one-shots etc.) I have linked in my encounters for me to manually trigger as needed while playing (see attachment.) It took a lot of time, but adds a real layer of immersion at my table.

However, I just logged into FGU just now to do some prep, and the Syrinscape module (and all my soundboards) aren't there. Worse still, the numerous links I meticulously attached to every encounter in the Mad Mage are not working. The Syrinscape module I've been relying on errors out during FGU load up and no longer opens.

Are all my links are currently broken, soundboards lost, and time wasted, or am I missing something? I will be absolutely crestfallen if I just lost countless hours of prep work.

I am desperately reaching out for a fix so that I don't have to redo years of hard work, and would appreciate any solutions.

Please reach out to the extension developer that provided the community content extension and modules you are using. They are not the same as the system that we implemented in our partnership with Syrinscape; so they are not interchangeable.

If you are using the MK extension and modules, I saw that MK has posted a not on the Rob2e Discord that he is waiting for rob to push the updated files to the FG Forge that lets his stuff work again.

An update has been pushed. You can update the extension and continue to use it, or work to transition to the new method
