Hello all,
My updater gets stuck on the "SWK03UPGRADE Decompressing" step, but I was unable to find anyone else having this issue.
From what I can tell, this is the updater trying to check my licence upgrade from Classic Fantasy Grounds.
Following another thread, where another user had their updater get stuck on D&D 3e rules (3e.pak), after deleting that file from the rulesets folder, the updater was reset and that fixed the issue.
In my case, I can only find a corresponding "SWK03UPGRADE.dat.tmp" file in the vault folder.
That file auto-deletes whenever I cancel the update.
Deleting the file during the update and restarting the update afterwards does not solve the issue. It instead makes a new .tmp file and gets stuck again.
A forced update from the Settings/Troubleshoot tab also does not work.
As the SWK03UPGRADE belongs to the classic version rather than the unity version, I thought the problem might be solved by removing it from the update list.
However, I have not found how to do that successfully - only that back in 2008 this sort of accessibility was requested before (see: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?42020-Removing-Game-Systems-from-FG )
If I cancel the updater and launch fantasy grounds, it says I am on "v4.4.0. ULTIMATE (2023-06-13)" - which should be the latest version of fantasy grounds as of writing this thread.
This means that the game is (probably) perfectly playable (and can be updated), but only a few packages will never get updated.
Seeing as the update list runs in alphabetical order, that means that my "WOTC" products are skipped by cancelling the updater.
When starting a campaign using the 5e system, I am unable to find any of my purchased 5th Edition books.
I would much appreciate any help with regards to solving this problem such that I can update all remaining packages to their latest versions.
My apologies if someone else already did ask this question and I managed to not find it.
Thanks in advance
