Due to hitting the size constraints of a single post, I've moved all of the effects documentation to its own location. Now you can find all of documentation at the link below.

Fantasy Grounds Cypher System Wiki (https://publish.obsidian.md/fantasygrounds-cypher-wiki/Home)
Effects Documentation (https://publish.obsidian.md/fantasygrounds-cypher-wiki/Effects/Effects)
Conditions Documentation (https://publish.obsidian.md/fantasygrounds-cypher-wiki/Effects/Conditions)

The number of effects for this ruleset has grown in size and scope, and to help both myself and users get the most out everything available I have leveraged the wonderful work done by SoxMax and created an Effect Builder plugin extension that is available on the Forge. You will need to subscribe to both the Effect Builder extension as well as the Cypher plugin extension. Both links are below.

Effect Builder by SoxMax (https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/457/view)
Effect Builder Plugin - Cypher System (https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/1308/view)

Once you have both extensions enabled for your campaign you can access the effect builder by using either the /buildeffect or the /effectbuilder commands in chat to bring up the effect editor GUI. I recommend saving one of those commands to your hot bar for quick access.

Could we get an effect that essentially works like Advantage in 5E?

The Foolish Descriptor has the following trait:
"Carefree: You succeed more on luck than anything. Every time you roll for a task, roll twice and take the higher result."

I figured it could be useful in other situations too.

Yup! That item is in the backlog.

Awesome! I'm loving what you've done with the ruleset so far!

A month later but these effects are finally in the ruleset. Details on the original post, but there are now ADV, DISADV, GRANTADV, and GRANTDISADV effects that let you roll 2d20 and keep the highest or lowest. They can be filtered using the standard roll type, stat, and skill tags.

Some questions:

Is there a way to add damage types to the pulldown in the Effects Builder?

Can you apply multiple Armor mod effects? Example: A cypher modifies Armor by +2, but +5 if it's cold damage

Yup! In the campaign options window, at the bottom among the various buttons for things like languages, currencies, etc. there's a button for Damage Types. That will open an editor where you can enter and change the list of damage types

Also a yes. You can separate two different armor effects with a semi-colon, or if you're using the effect builder, just add a second instance of the armor effect with the damage type you want. It should looks something like "ARMOR: 2; ARMOR: 5 cold"

Perfect. Thank you!

Is MAXASSET working as expected?

The Best Tool cypher provides an asset to one task using a tool, even if would exceed the maximum 2 Assets.

I am unable to get the roll to show that it is using more than 2 assets.

It looks like EASE is missing from your Effects Library for the Effects Builder.

You're totally right, when I re-wrote the effects engine I mistyped the effect as MAXASSETS, plural, with an 's' at the end. I've got a fix and it'll go out tuesday.

It looks like debugging got left on in the Effect Builder. Anytime anything in the Effect Builder window is changed, stuff is output to chat. I pinged the dev of the builder extension and he suggested it may be something in your plugin.
It seems to work okay, it just fills the chat so I hadn't brought it up until now. It's been happening for a couple months, at least.

Pushed a new version to the Forge without the debug lines. Sorry about that.
