I know next to nothing about Syrinscape and am trying to understand what would be needed to use this. Yes I read the FG wiki about requirements & use, but it did not answer these questions;
Does only the GM need a Syrinscape account?
Does it matter if the Web Player or the Fantasy Player is used by the GM?
How does the sound integrate and/or be volume controlled by each player with something like Discord? i.e. if using Discord (Teamspeak, Skype etc) for voice, how does the player get sound from both the voice and the client web player?

I'm no expert either, but here is my understanding.
1. Only the GM needs a Syrinscape account and the sound files. The other players connect to the GM Syrinscape "session" using the Syrinscape Web Player.
2. Only the web player is supported. This is also the way that Syrinscape is moving, as far as I'm aware.
3. The Syrinscape web player runs in the player's web browser, and plays through the user's standard sound output and settings for the web browser. It doesn't interact with other systems. Also, the GM controls the "session" volume for music/sounds and one shots separately.

Yes. Moon Wizard is correct. Ony the GM needs a syrinscape acount. There is a button in the syrinscape panel in fgu to "invite" players. This link will give them a link to open a web page where they can listen to the player through their browser. However, if you use your own files from your hard drive then those will not play through syrincsape but will play through whatever music player you choose and that would have to be sent to the players through discord or some other method.

Should just mention as part of 3) that when you connect to Syrinscape as a player via the web page, it gives you your own volume control. So each player can adjust the volume of the Syrinscape sounds independently. The GM can set an overall volume, and adjust the "one shot" volume separately - these are noises for things like sword swings or fireball spell casts, which can be a bit deafening if not turned down a bit.
I usually run my GM master volume at about 50% and my one shot volume at about 75%.
Players connecting usually turn their individual volumes down to between 25% and 50% according to taste and sound system. This seems to give a nice overall balance compared with Discord's default levels for voice/video chat. We're old, so those of you with younger ears might like louder Syrinscape sounds :)
It doesn't work quite as nicely as the Discord bot solution, but that stopped working for me a month or two ago and doing everything by the web player was just a lot easier than trying to debug the old bot solution. I just put the game URL in the Discord chat every week so people can click and connect; it'll be nice to be able to do that directly inside FGU instead.
Cheers, Hywel

You can. The "Invite" button in the "Sound: Settings" panel puts an FG link in chat for the players to click or drag somewhere for reference.

Ah, I'm sorry, I misunderstood your post - I thought you were saying that it would be nice if you could do that inside FG.
Mind you, you've been able to paste a clickable URL link into chat for quite a while now (maybe 2-3 years), so you could have pasted the Syrinscape link in FG before...
