Wow, this looks perfect for what we are working towards! Thank you!

Can we create our castle image in a different program and bring it into the image? we use dungeon alchemist for our maps and I know one of our players has already been laying out their ideas there.

Yes that is a perfect way to do it. Import it into your campaign and under assets it will show up. Drag from assets to image window and your set. Should duplicate LOS and lighting as well.

great. is the DM the only one that can bring in the image or can the Lord of the castle import it as well (say the player updates the map in dungeon alchemist)

Anything related to the image is the DM. I know the video is longer than most of mine but check it out.

We are just dipping into the Stronghold extension and I am using it as several party chests for now (mundane items, Magic items, and Gems/Jewelry/Artwork). so the inventory pages gets quite full. Requests / suggestions (none of these are a big deal):

1) add a scroll bar to the right side.
2) can the sort (alphabetizing) treat numbers as full numbers? right now if I put 1 2 3 4 20 30 40, it sorts as 1 2 20 3 30 4 40
3) make the main box (the item name) size adjustable in some way

Is the last box just for notes? it does not seem to be stored in the item record. and could there be an option to sort by that note box then the item name?

Or, BMOS makes an extraplanar container extension (https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/13/view) that allows for containers that you can collapse items inside a container.

Also perhaps a total value option of the good in inventory?

I am sure this is secondary BUT it is really nice to have a party chest that anyone can add to or take from.

Is there a way to add a already existing layered image to the stronghold? I have a campaign base map that i have already been using but will not let me add it to the stronghold, only as a pin. Am I missing something?

If you export it it will be in your assets folder and you can drag ut to the image record

Is there anything other than installing the extension needed? It shows up on my menu under Dominions -> Strongholds. However Modules and Strongholds are completely empty and the core modules does not show anything there. But if I create a new record and then open it (or switch views from details/income/ etc) .

Thanks for the post. I'll take a look and get this addressed tomorrow. You need to create a module and export it. Thr module will contain the stronghold pieces depending on what ruleset you are using. It is possible I did not upload the example module when I did the last update so when I fix these issues I will make sure I do that :)

Ah yes, there was no sample module. Both the module and the stronghold are blank. I'll look for the update when ready. Thanks for looking at it. FYI - its in the 5E ruleset.

Yeah just to be clear you have to input your own stronghold module data. The library module I included just has a few examples I made up that are not IP owned by WOTC.

The first paragraph of the extension description describes exactly what is included.

Picked this up last week, just cracked it open to rummage around it with the aid of one of my players to see what we could make it of.

Two things that come to mind so far after our first half hour.

1. Dragging an item from a PC to the stronghold vault sends the message that it was sent to the party sheet, but taking it from the stronghold vault back to a player does say it came from the vault to the player.
2. The ability to have multiple resource types would be a nice beautiful improvement. Right now it only takes into account 'mineral' 'crop' and 'animal' as resource types. I would be nice to be able to differentiate gold mines from silver mines, for example.

Hey thanks for the feedback.

1. I hijacked Core rpg code so that is why it says that. They have been tweaking that a bit so maybe I can go back in and check it out.

2. That comes out of the Rules Encyclopedia. That's why I say it is compatible with that and the 3.5 SH builders guide. Otherwise I am just kind of doing a home brew. I made a separate extension for Birthright (2e ADD) which has extensive domain rules.


Have you ever looked at Birthright?

The April update appears to have made a lot of UI anchoring changes again. This occurs every time a stronghold panel is opened.

Appreciate the update. Looks like that's fixed. Two minor (and I do mean minor) issues, though:
* When opening a stronghold, the bottom tabs are unresponsive/confused until you cycle through all three. For example, if you click on the second tab, nothing happens. Then you click on the first tab and suddenly it looks like the third tab. Then you click on the third tab and it stays the third tab. From that point, the tabs function correctly when clicked.
* The tab text color does not shift with theme and is unreadable on Theme: Core - Dark.

Yeah it is because i used horizontal tabs. The other themese must not redefine them. Let me see if i can implement another method.

This includes adding/removing/adjusting followers or changing the value in any field of the bottom tabs. Strongholds created before the update do not suffer from this issue.

I cannot reproduce this. Is the stronghold in a module or created within the campaign? I created one in my existing campaign and could not get the error. I also created a brand new campaign and did not get the error.

They're created in a running campaign. Context and flow, and note that this is in PFRPG/3.5:
Some months ago, I ran The Twilight Tomb (https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/The_Twilight_Tomb) for my table. In the end, they managed to retain the location as a party stronghold, which I built and managed via PNGs and notes at the time to cover the ~16 floors/locations of the sprawling compound. A month or so later, while working through Cormyr: The Tearing of the Weave (https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Cormyr:_The_Tearing_of_the_Weave), one of my tablemates gifted the stronghold extension to me I started porting my notes and maps, deciding to create an "overview" stronghold that would aggregate the full build of the stronghold, then individual "strongholds" for each floor and location for more granular control. I created the overview and one location, but had to pause the rest of the creation due to home obligations as well as continued transcription and tailoring of content from C:TotW to FG.

Fast forward to the April update. We've finished C:TotW and are on hiatus until I finish porting the stronghold and begin transcribing the next book in the Sundering of the Weave saga. Having started with the Overview and Entry Island prior to the update, I finally finished getting all floors and towers input.

Whenever making edits to Overview and Entry Island, there are no issues at all (aside from the tabbing and font issue, as previously discussed). They were created prior to the update. But for every floor/tower created since the update, every single keystroke on a field in Construction Details causes this.

This example was the result of clearing the value of a construction (one keystroke) then re-adding the value (5 keystrokes). It's worth noting that this doesn't seem to cause any issues other than chatbox flood, but I subscribe to the opinion that any issue is worth reporting.

Just tested and the dbNode issue does indeed look to be fixed. Nice, and thanks. Still hoping for the tabination and font color adjustments, but I know this all takes time and work. Thanks for keeping up on it.

I changed it to a vertical tab which should maybe help with some of the issues. I may eventually make a button and just script it. The template I am using is giving weird behaviors.

Updated and did some more stronghold work. The tabs are certainly updating to the theme properly, but yeah, the tabination is still acting weird. Still, appreciate all the work you're doing.
