Good Morning,
I'm in the process of creating a pretty huge campaign and was wondering how FGU handles memory, file size and overhead.
1) Is it better to have 1 huge module installed or multiple small modules? Which scenario is more likely to bog FGU down?
2) Does the number of extensions in use factor into the equation?
Thanks in advance

The only part of a module that would be remotely 'huge' would be images. So don't put hundreds of massive images into a module. If you want to use massive images then certainly split those over multiple modules or just use them from the image folder in FG data (if possible - not practical if you want to add LoS and lighting to the image. Images need to be in the campaign to do that).
You can't export extensions; nor can you designate what extension that a module should load. Extensions are selected when you start or load a campaign. And yes, extensions can have a huge impact on performance whilst playing but won't have any impact of module creation.

For some guidelines see here: https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/2037547009/Developer+Guidelines
The main benefit with having smaller modules is that the GM can manage which data is currently available. If, in general practice, the GM will need to have all modules open then there's no real benefic to having smaller modules vs. one large module.

It is better to use multiple development campaigns to create multiple modules. See link in my signature. Try to keep images out of the play campaign (except for those few that will always be needed). load and unload modules as needed throughout play.
Many extensions add significantly to character and database size. The larger the database, the slower the performance. Also, periodically (like every 6-12 months) you will want to archive your chatlog.html. Basically once it reaches a few GB in file size, while exited from FG append a date to the filename.
