Hello wonderful FG peeps,
I noticed there is no Undead filter on the Bestiary category search filter. Can this please be added in, thank you.

Can you give us some more information on your request? Which game system are you referring to? Several game systems already have an Undead option under the Type filter (such as D&D 5E, Pathfinder, Starfinder and more).

I've moved this thread to the Tavern as a placeholder. It was posted in the Laboratory sub-forum, which isn't really appropriate for a feature request like this.
This request is quire vague, so we'll need more information to be able to provide feedback. What ruleset are you referring to? What do you mean by the category search filter? It'll help if you provide these details and also a screenshot showing what you're referring to.

It's for Pathfinder 2e. I'm trying to send a screen shot but it's not working.
In the Bestiary tab there are search parameter windows you can open that list search options. Nowhere in this list is an option for Undead.

Thanks for providing the additional information in order for us to address your question.
In PF2 there's not a singular "category" or type of NPC field like there was in PF1 that covers "Undead". The "Category" used in the filters is based off the categories that Paizo used in Bestiaries 1, 2 and 3. So you have things like zombies, skeletons, ghosts, etc. - based off how Paizo presented them in their products.
PF2 lumps things like "undead" into the "traits" field - which also includes rarity, alignment and size, as well as other creature traits; so it's not as simple as presenting a filter for all possible traits. It is on the list to filter by certain key trait values in the future - my concern being performance, but we'll analyze that when we look at implementation.
Paizo did provide some lists in the appendix of the bestiaries that give a list of creatures by a high level creature type trait - you can see these in the Reference Manual for each bestiary to give you an idea of undead creatures in that product.

I've moved this thread to the Pathfinder 2.0 sub-forum, which is the best place to post questions about PAthfinder Second edition - it will give you a faster, more accurate response and will help to prevent community members wasting their time trying to help for a different ruleset.

Ok, but in the current Bestiary window for Pathfinder 2e are many entries you can put in to hone in on what you're looking for, such as werecreatures, or elemental or dragon. I'm wondering why undead isn't an option.

When I use the insert image this is what inserts, not sure if you'll see it.

Like I said in post #5 the "Catgeory" filter is based off the categories Paizo used in the bestiary products. They don't have an "undead" category, they use ghost, skeleton, zombie, etc.. "undead" is a trait, not a category, and I mentioned in post #5 that traits will be looked at in the future.

To explain further. Assuming you have the Bestairy 1 in FG, you’ll also have the corresponding PDF. The "Dragon" category section starts at page 104, the "Elemental" category section starts at page 144 and the "Werecreatures" category section starts at page 328. There’s no "undead" category section as undead creatures are covered in other sections such as ghost, skeleton and zombie. Hence why there’s no "undead" category to filter in FG, because there’s no "undead" category section in the Paizo bestiary product.

I don't want to question your responses fellas but,
Some of the search criteria I'm talking about are traits that are already in place.
Also if you look in the index of Pathfinder Bestiary 1 there is an index for Undead.

Some of the search criteria I'm talking about are traits that are already in place.
The search criteria are categories used by Paizo in the base product - if there was more than one creature in that category.
Looking at Bestiary 1, here are the first few categories in the FG Category filter compared with the first few categories within the base product:
https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=57064
Some of these are also creature traits, but we're not filtering on traits we're filtering on the Category section from the base Paizo product.
Looking at the "U" entries there are just two in the base product - Unicorn and Uthul (no "undead"):
https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=57065
Unicorn and Uthul aren't included in the FG Category filter because the entries contain only one creature, so we didn't class them as a Category.
Also if you look in the index of Pathfinder Bestiary 1 there is an index for Undead.
I mentioned this in the last paragraph of post #5. These are creature traits, not the base product categories used by Paizo. As I've mentioned a few times, we don't filter on traits at this point in time - that will be looked at in the future.
