Stuck on logging in.

I seem to have a problem. Im on a fresh opensuse tumbleweed install, and trying to install the game I got stuck on logging in, after looking at the player.log file, it seems to be a SSL problem with the certificated, with the following error:

Curl error 35: Cert handshake failed. verify result: UNITYTLS_X509VERIFY_FATAL_ERROR. error state: 7

Error: Unable to complete SSL connection

if anyone can help me here on how to fix it, I would love it.

FG is only officially supported on Ubuntu 18.04+.

That handshake is indicative of SSL handling not being set up correctly on your machine. Here's an example StackExchange thread:

For anybody else that may find this thread, the fix is:


$ sudo zypper in ca-certificates ca-certificates-mozilla ca-certificates-cacert

That's what made it work for me, and, I'm also running OpenSUSE Tumbleweed

I'm just noting that to resolve the same problem, I had to install ca-certificates-steamtricks as well as the packages above.
