What is the best way to indicate that a token has died? Currently, we are rotating them... which is really unsatisfying. Is there some kind of big red "X" or something that will indicate a dead token?

Research extensions. I think there are several of which I only use one but I'm told it can conflict with some things so I'll leave it to you to research the others as I'm not aware of them. Death Indicators is what I use though. EXTENSIONS = RISK!

Are you using Classic? If not then there are built in death markers in Unity.

The death markers that Zacchaeus is referring to are applied when the combat tracker entry is removed, which removes the token and leaves a "splatter" by default (can be customized). As he mentioned, this is built-in behavior for the major rulesets in FG Unity version.

If you are looking for some sort of health-based indicator on tokens while they are still in the tracker and on the map, then there are probably extensions in the FG Forge that do that.
