Hi folks. DM of 30+ years here looking for players interested in taking on a somewhat homebrewed version of the adventures Waterdeep: Dragon Heist and Spelljammer Light of Xaryxis. Power gamers, rules lawyers, murder hobos, and metagamers need not apply. For my part I promise to be fair and reasonable. I see the DM/Player relationship as more of a collaboration than a competition. The goal is to tell great stories.

Pricing Explanation: The cost is $30/month on the assumption that most months, I will host at least 3 sessions. If I run 4 or 5 sessions in a given month, I don't expect extra compensation, I consider it win/win for everyone involved (I hope at any rate!). I am not responsible for sessions canceled due to low player turn-out, but will generally run with 3 or more players, unless the players who are present opt not to.

Characters
Race: Races may be drawn from the following sources (only): Players Handbook, Mordenkainen's Monsters of the Multiverse, and Spelljammer Astral Adventurer's Guide (for purposes of this adventure, while races may be drawn from the Spelljammer book, characters should initially be unaware of the concept of Spelljamming and the Multiverse)

Ability Scores will be Standard Array or Point Buy (no random rolling)

Backgrounds: We won't be using stock backgrounds from the books. Instead everyone may create a custom background, granting them 2 Skill Proficiencies as well as 2 choices from either languages or tool kits. We will not be using Background Features.

Classes: All character classes and subclasses from the Players Handbook, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, and Xanathar's Guide to Everything are available.

Equipment: Characters receive the maximum gold allotted to their character class and may purchase any equipment from the Players Handbook with it, keeping the remainder.

If you are interested, please let me know what start time you are available for.
