Just in case I've missed something... Is there a way to set up an effect that contains a die roll which gets evaluated to a specific result when adding it to the CT?

The use case in mind would be the 'Bait and Switch' Battlemaster manuever, which should roll 1dX when invoked and generate an AC bonus of that. Ideally, it'd be something like

Bait and Switch; AC: [1d6]

similar to how one can specify that an ability modifier or proficiency bonus should be used; but that specific effect merely gets added as-is, without evaluating the roll, and with no impact.

No, AC will only accept a number not a dice roll. See the effects list here https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/996642031/5E+Effects+for+Advanced+Automation#Reference it shows the parameters which each effect will accept; either a number or a dice or both.
