as I am coming up on my 2nd year of playing in FG, I wanted to make a thread that is focused on the Developer and Modder community just to say THANK YOU.
I am 51 years old, D&D made SUCH a difference in my Middle and High school years. Finding friends, learning to think critically, expanding my imagination and so much more. College started LARPS and MtG and then Life took over and most of my friends and I moved further away, got married, jobs...
Then, Many years later, the pandemic hit and at one of my lowest points in my life I found VTTs and FG specifically. I now have a regular weekly game with old friends and new. It has helped me heal. It has engaged my mind again. So to the Developers, THANK YOU. we may not say it enough but this tool you have created is fantastic.
To the FGU Modding community. Wow. you all take the platform and make it so much more. and so many of you do it at no cost, and those that do charge a little, are typically even more willing to attack issues and ideas. I have tried campaigns in 2e, 5e and PF1e, using mods and extensions for all of them. NOONE has ever been anything but helpful and responsive to questions, concerns and ideas. the community is AMAZING. thank you to all.
I wish I could find the time to learn to code lua, but for now I will keep trying to give back to the community. This new year will be even better.
