View Full Version : Unable to update on Windows 11

I just bought this over the holidays and just tried to install it. Installation was fine, but it will not update. I have rebooted, I have re-installed, I have tried the Settings > Troubleshoot > Force App Update. I even tried to run as Admin and still nothing. Also tried the Settings > Troubleshoot > Show Setup and walked through that as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure that it's whitelisted in Windows 11's firewall. You can also attempt to run the updater manually outside of FG and see if that forces it.

Thanks, tried both of those ideas. Nothing. Still stuck in the same place.

Ok, it seems that it's my ISP.

I live in an apartment complex where they provide Fiber internet as part of the rent and all that mess and I remembered that I had issues with updating Final Fantasy 14 because of the type of NAT they use here, so I normally run into issues updating the game and need to get on a VPN to update.

So, after kicking my head a few times, I remembered this, popped on a VPN and everything updated fine.

This looks like your anti virus software is blocking Fantasy Grounds (if you don't have any specific AV it'll be Windows Defender).
