custom ring

a sorcerer has a "ring of blessing" i gave it type armor. put a 10 in the DB box, and in the character sheet, assigned it as armor. will this work so the sorcerer will get the DB automatically when attacked?

what would i do if i wanted to give this to some one who already wears armor?

You do not need to equip that as Armor on the Combat tab.

As long as it is marked as equipped on the inventory tab (click the bag icon until it changes to a Shirt), it will automatically add +10 to the DB.
