Odd visual dice "error"?
1 DM, 3 Players. Only I (a Player) have the advanced Dice sets. everyone's dice rolls look fine except this 1 player (Gabe). On Gabe's computer they look normal, but on the DM's and the other 2 player's screens they look like the video attached. essentially they throw off to the right of the chat window when it is narrow and they seem to float above the "table" the way the shadow works

Good Day Morenu :)
I am not positive, but I believe the dice graphic is associated with the chat window of the person rolling them. I have a player (I am the DM) whose chat window is larger than mine and it rolls right out of my chat box graphically. :)

Bonkon is right. The dice rolls are dependent upon the roller's chat window. No doubt that one player has his chat window wider than you do. It might look strange, but is necessary in order for the physics engine to give both people the same visual experience, which drives the die results. So, if one player has a wider/longer/etc chat and the die rolls were adjusted based upon the viewer, then the shown die results would be different.

Interesting. what about the odd shadow effect? we thought at first the GM only rolls were happening at the same time

I know the last build had some issues with the d4 shadows, but I think that is fixed... Can you grab a screen shot and circle what you mean?

I paused the above video when the dice stopped rolling. you can see the result at the bottom right, yet the shadows make it seem the dice are floating55185

For both GM and Player:
* Where on the tabletop is your chat window?
* What UI scale are you running?
* What dice relative scale are you running?
Thanks,

Good Day Morenu :)
In that pic it looks to me like the d6 stopped partly on top of the d8 a bit so the shadow is cast further away, does it always have that floating effect? :)

I will work on this, The player lives in new york and I am in PA. the DM, myself and another player all saw what the video shows. Gabe (the player rolling the dice) did NOT see this effect, they looked normal to him.
My setup (I was a player, and NOT the one throwing dice):
* I use 2 screens with FGU stretched to cover all of my main screen and 90% of the secondary screen (to left of main one). the video is the secondary screen. so the Chat window is on the secondary screen furthest to the right side. the chat window is at almost it's minimum width and about the max height minus the height of the dice tower (you can see it in the video) - DM stretches to 3 screens. chat window on the left secondary screen at the default chat window size.
* I highly doubt anyone else messes with their UI scale but mine is 104 (Dm confirms his is default)
* We all use the default dice scale
I will work on getting Gabe's info (the dice thrower)

If you watch the video in post #1, at 10 seconds in you will see a single d10 that looks like it floats.

this one will take me more time to narrow down as I need to have gabe logged in to reproduce and test.

Thanks. I see what you are talking about in the video (once you pointed it out), but I'm unable to reproduce here. That's why I was asking for the info.
I don't have a good way to test multi-monitor setups. Do you see the same issue when your FG is not stretched across two screens?

I can reproduce the dice rolling off to the right ok, by joining my own game and making the player chatbox wider than normal (it doesn't matter where the chatbox is positioned on either the DM or client screens). I'm unable to reproduce the shadowy thingy though.

Yeah, the chat box synchronization for wide vs. narrow and dice scales is expected. It's the shadow issue that I was unable to reproduce as well.
