Greetings,

I am trying to use the character wizard to build a ranger up to higher levels in a campaign which I am using as a general library to draw elements to other campaigns as needed.

The character wizard, as seen in the following attachment creates multiple lines of the same information as well as other information like traits etc superimposed over those lines kind of jumbling everything up.

Attachment: 55108 <== also it does not list any of the languages or features.

Also multiple other UI windows like Feats, Classes also duplicate information from the same sourcebook.

Is there a way to fix this? And if the jumbling came from my side how I can avoid doing this in the future?

Thanks in advance.

All the best,

The character wizard is an evolving feature. The Character Wizard is also being redesigned.

After you commit to the save, does it add the same data displayed in the character preview window onto your character sheet?
What version of FGU are you using?
Have you updated recently?
What sources do you have loaded or activated? General Library? Is that SRD or actual official content?
It's hard to help if you have not provided your PC's build path and/or a copy of your recent Campaign console logs.
Was not able to duplicate this error, but without knowing what you have loaded and your actual build, it's a guess.

Assuming D&D5e, Potential issues:
1.) Volo's Guide and Mordenkainen's Tome are now replaced by the Monsters of the Multiverse.
2.) 3rd Party content, like homebrew or third-party content from the DM's guide, will not work well with the Character Wizard.
3.) Ensure all books are activated before starting a new character with t e Character Wizard feature.
4.) Extensions or mods that add or impact character creation can cause duplication issues, etc.

All the best,

I can't reproduce this bu I only used the PHB to create the character below but I assume that you used more books? If so which ones did you have open? Also are you using any extensions? If so can you reproduce the issue in a new campaign without extensions?

[Update: instead of trying experiments 1 & 2 mentioned below today, I am creating Lvl 8 and Lvl 14 party characters in dndbeyond, exporting them to xml and importing into FGU. I will try to see if I can replicate the FGU Character Wizard line duplications by the 1 & 2 experiments at a later time. However right now creating the characters is the priority. Thanks for all your advice and help]

Just as an fyi the campaign featuring this character wizard issue is one that I created to experiment and to store created characters -- a laboratory-library, if you will.

Thus every module I have at the moment was active, here's a screenshot of them all: 55111

The only extensions active at the time is CoreRPG - Wound Overlay, Syrinscape Sounds FGU & TTRPG Safety Toolkit.

My goal was to create two parties of level 10 characters / level 12 characters in FGU using the wizards.com templates in Additional Ready-to-Play Character Sheets (https://media.wizards.com/2015/downloads/dnd/CharacterSheets1-10.zip) ==> which leads me to a question: Is there an FGU site or source with pregenerated high-level FGU classes (e.g. level 10 or 11-16) that are available to players? I know this question is beyond the scope of House of Healing, and I will ask in other forum/discord channels, but I thought I would throw it out here in case you can point the way.

BTW: I will try two experiments with all extensions disabled, hopefully today work permitting:

1. Disable all modules except the FGU essential bundle modules I recently purchased (no SRD, no basic rules)

2. Try with just the PHB.

Thanks for everything.

All the best,
