View Full Version : Question about exporting pre-generated characters

Hi, I'm building an adventure module (5E). When i export the module and activate in the campaign, everything shows up as expected: NPCs, encounters, images, reference manual (etc). There are also 6 pre-generated characters that the players will briefly use. However, they did not make it into the module. Under Export Record Type i have clicked all, and pre-generated PCs are included. I created a link in a story, but when i click the link in the campaign, it just loads one of the campaign PCs, not a module PC.

Im hoping to not have to create these as NPCs - how do I include the pre-generated PCs?

Other observations: in the module I had claimed ownership as DM to hide them from the players, but even after releasing and re-exporting, they still don't show. In the player campaign i clicked import PC, and I saw the pre-generated PCs there twice: once from the campaign for the module, and again from the loaded module itself. However, the latter was missing the tokens (blank avatar).

I'm looking for them to be included in the module so I can share it with others (or I'd just import between campaigns).

Update: i disabled all extensions in the player campaign, given the problems i had per the other post i made today. that didn't help.

Thank-you,
Bryan

In the Modules window can you see Pregenerated Characters when you click on the Module?
If not are you sure that the pregens are actually in the campaign you are exporting your module from?
Also Tokens/Portraits will not come across.

Hi, yes i see a section called pregenerated characters and they are there. I assumed they would be under the character tab. Per your reply, there's no way to package them with a portrait...? too bad, one matched his name beautifully.
Thank-you
