Hi, this is regarding the character wizard for 5E option dice roll. It initially works, but when you click the reroll button you get the following error:
Script execution error: [string "5E: ...izard/scripts/charwizard abilities.ua"|183: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)
update: trying to do point buy and assigning points gets the same error.

I just tested this out and I'm not seeing any issues. Are you using any extensions? Can you reproduce the error in a new campaign without extensions?

I'm not seeing this with the default ruleset.
Are you running any extensions, or do you have any unpacked versions of the CoreRPG or 5E rulesets?
If so, please try after disabling or removing those.
Otherwise, please send in your logs to look at.

Hi, I had the kings & warfare extension loaded (for some reason, not relevant to that particular module). Disabling it caused the issued to go away. it was also blocking subclass and level up outside of the wizard. Was pretty broken. But issue gone with no extensions loaded.

So one thing I've noticed, after removing the extensions, is that the subclass does not get added to the PC. This is true whether by leveling up in the wizard, or manually leveling up one lvl at a time. I've made 6 pre-generated PCs for a module at 8th level each, and none of them had their subclass/archetype in any way, whether under abilities, or actions. I tried dragging it from the classes tab, but it wouldn't add. Everything else about the wizard appears to be fine (with extension removed).

Which classes and books are you using for levelling up? (i.e. what are the exact steps/data used?)
I just tried with the PHB classes, and it's correctly asking for class specialization in both character wizard and drag and drop.

Hi, it does asks for the specialization, but i don't see any attributes add under abilities->features. I note that some characters have some features from the subclass listed by not others. For example, the druid in the player campaign shows combat wild shape, but not primal strike (its the right level). The PCs i made for the adventure module don't see any subclass features (but yes, the wizard asked; dropping features work, but not the subclass itself). As for books loaded, all the core books are loaded including monsters of the multiverse, including some others like eberron for warfarged (I wonder if Mom includes warfarged and i can drop eberron now). The player campaign has two extensions (advantage display, one click druid), while the adventure module has none.
So it seems that if you want to see each feature under abilities, you have to drop the manually.
Update: so i was manually dropping in features, when i observed that I was able to drop in the entire War Domain on the cleric in addition to the individual features, but i was not able to add the Circle of the Moon to the druid (but could add the individual features).

Can you provide the exact steps/selections you are making in the character wizard (or the drag and drop) where it is not working?
(Ex: open character wizard, select barbarian, increase level to 3, select specialization Path of the Totem Warrior, etc.)
Thanks,

I think the issue lies with Tasha's Cauldron of Everything being open. See the image attached each of which shows a level 2 Druid with the Circle of the Moon archetype.
The first was created using the Character Wizard with just the PHB open; the second with both the PHB and with Tasha's Cauldron of Everything and the third was created using drag and drop, again, with both the PHB and Tasha open. I've highlighted the differences in the abilities which get added using each of the three methods. Without Tasha's open then the Wizard shows the correct abilities for the Circle Forms and Combat Wildshape. However if Tasha is open than those abilities don't get ported over when using the Wizard. Both abilities are shown correctly using Drag and Drop with both books open.

I don't have anything to add regarding individual features on top of Zac's post, his is pretty thorough. But i did want to show the attached. Somehow the entire subclass was linked in the PC's features, something I have not been able to replicate.
