Casting the Daylight spell

I want to cast the spell at a specific spot. I can see a way to cast it on a character and have them walk around with it. But in this case, I want it to remain fixed on a spot. What is the best way to do this?

Have the GM add a token and attach the token light to it. There are probably other ways, but that is how I do it.
