Greetings,
In my player instance of FGU and my player clicks "Cast" the dice roll is hidden. Dice amount are doubled clicking "Save" with one set of dice visible to player the other set of dice hidden.
I am confuzzled. Is this intended? Please see attachments ==> 55059 55060
With Attack, Damage, Effect, Heal the rolls are visible.
Thanks in advance.
All the best,
Moon Wizard

Are you running any extensions? I haven't seen this reported by anyone else at this point.

Greetings,
I disabled all extensions, which were few, and the issue remains. Please see new attachment ==> 55063
NOTE: prior to entering FGU this evening the "Updates" button was highlighted on the UI, so I updated with the new update.
This is using encounters in the Dragons of Stormwreck Isle which I am reviewing as a potential candidate as a newbie DM.
All the best,
PS: btw, where can I find the FGU updates patch notes or changelogs -- I've looked around the site and did a few searches without result. Is there a link where they're posted? For example this evenings updates push.

City Hall City Hall (fantasygrounds.com) (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?37-City-Hall)
From there will be a post with the latest info. If it is a ruleset or application update, then the post will have a link to the patch notes.

I looked a little closer at the screen shot and what you have happening. It looks like the spell calls for a save DC from the target. Since the save roll is being rolled by the GM machine for the target, the rolls will use the Show GM Rolls setting for the campaign. I'm guessing that the Show GM Rolls option is set to Off.
If that's not the case, I'll need to get a copy of your campaign folder (along with CT set up with PC and targets) to look deeper.

Hi Moon Wizard & LordEntrails,
Thank you for your responses. Unfortunately the hidden-from-roller-player-dice issue remains for both "Cast" and "Save" (cast dice still hidden from player/roller & the save should be applied to player/roller not foe, so I believe the player rolling save for himself should see it, if I am not mistaken).

All extensions currently disabled.
This is for a Dragons of Stormwreck Isle practice-review encounter.
If you still want campaign folder what is the best way to get it to you?
Thanks for everything.

All save DC rolls go through the GM machine, so it will always use the Show GM Rolls option set by the GM.
You can post the campaign folder on a file sharing site (like DropBox or Google Drive); and then provide the link here or via PM; but as I stated above, save DC rolls are GM-based.

@OP, FYI When you are actually running a game, you would tell the players to make a manual saving throw if you wanted to let them roll their own saves. I do it that way, it's slower but really gets that "around the table" tension as everyone watches the die rolls and groans or cheers the rolls. It also helps with the tension as they don't immediately know if they saved or not since I don't tell them the DC, I just tell them if they saved or not. Sometimes I don't say anything and just drop damage on th PCs from low rolls to high.

Thank you Griogre and Moon Wizard,
Moon Wizard, sorry to have troubled you, I am beginning to understand the point you are making. I think I misunderstood what was happening with saves which means my understanding of Fantasy Grounds and DnD in general needs improvement. I will study more with regards to both the app and the ruleset. Please consider this ticket closed.
Griogre, thank you for advice on alternate methods. As a newer user to both FGU and DnD it is most helpful. Though I joined in 2020 I did not start playing until a couple of months ago.
All the best to you both,
Moon Wizard

No worries. I find it's good to raise questions (and question assumptions!) from time to time.
Cheers,
