What I posted on Discord and asked to post here:

Noticing a problem with lights and doors. This is a development campaign, so there are no extensions. Doors are supposed to block LoS as well as movement. However, the doors are not blocking shadows which are being cast from light sources. if those sources are colored, it can give stuff away. In the following screenshots you will see that the purple lights in the room are showing across the closed door so that the player knows there is something in them. There happens to be ambient light casting the shadows.. in the other pictures, you will see the ambient light off and just lights casting shadows across the door sections. Wanted to make sure you understood what you are seeing from the DM and player screenshots. IMO, the positional light sources should have their colors and shadows blocked as well as their base light being shown through closed doors.

Second set of pics with ambient light turned off.. As Moon Wizard noted, the horizontal door has a slice of the wall overlapping the door, so that's causing the dark diagonal shadow.. If you look at the vertical door on the left though, you'll see the walls' shadow being cast on it, because the light is inside the solid wall, which is casting into the door.. you'll see the slight grey there. Probably could have done a better picture.. Put some arrows to show you where..

As I mentioned in Discord, the second set is because the FG LoS engine does not support colinear, overlapping LoS segments. Remove the extra wall segment overlapping the door, and see if that resolves.

For the first set of pictures, I'll need to try to recreate here and confer with @pindercarl.

The way that LoS works is that vision/lighting LoS can pass into, but not through doors. So, the point light on opposite side of door shining into the door area is expected behavior; just the same as if player token carrying torch was looking at the door, and the door area would be visible by the torch light.

I'm not sure how you only got it to show up halfway through the door, since in my tests, it covers whole door.

The "shadows" only apply to ambient lighting settings.
