Greetings,

[Please also see attachment]

I just purchased Dragons of Stormwreck Isle from the FG Store today and it looks very cool. However, the map-location sharing for the map links on 1.01 Welcome to Dragon's Rest and 1.08 Dragon's Rest Locations, seem to exhibit some odd behavior (in contrast with the DM & Players Maps for 1.26 Exploring the Island, which seem to share fine).

Players Screen: Testing as GM with GM screen open (not shown) and Players screen (shown opened via R-click FGU icon for second instance and then “joined” campaign.

1. Opening and sharing “Players’ Map” from 1.08 Dragon’s Rest Locations (also in story entry 1.01) results in black-blank screen. Can open and share “DM Map” as pictured. Happens with other maps.

2. Player can open Story entry 1.08 when I try to share map and it shows the buttons (shields) for both DM & Players’

NOTE: The DM & Players’ Maps for 1.26 Exploring the Island seem to work correctly.

Please let me know if I made a mistake or if there's anything I do on my side to fix things. Thank you in advance.

Cheers,

You seem to have no player icons in a combat tracker and then that player icon on the map so in essence. The player has no presence in the map and a calculated vision to see anything. Remember also a player will need some defined vision or a torch to see in the dark.

Welcome to the forums.

As noted above you need to have a player token on the map in order for the player to see the map. The token must be dragged from the Combat Tracker onto the map.

As regards pint 2 above. If your player can open story entries then it would suggest that you have shared the adventure module with your player. Make sure that you put a red cross on the module in the activations screen so that the module isn't shared with players. Also the DM map doesn't have any line of sight or lighting on it so that is why the player can see it when you share it. However as the map name suggests that map is for the DM and should not be shared with your players. The map 'Exploring the Island' also doesn't have an lighting or line of sight on it and so the player will see it. The player map doesn't have and names on it however.

Thanks much for the prompt response and detailed answers. There's much for me to learn so the "How Do I" videos look extremely helpful.

Time for me to fire up Youtube.

All the Best,
