Hello, I've been experiencing another bug centered around the Fate Core ruleset.

Summary: I've been encountering an error regarding the combat tracker in the Fate Core ruleset that cropped up recently. When opening the combat tracker, the console opens with errors. It does not appear to affect functionality that I have noticed, but, it is concerning. I am on Windows 11. The exact errors are:

"windowcontrol: Database type mismatch on math (physicalstress) in control (physicalstress) in class (ct_entry)"
"windowcontrol: Database type mismatch on math (mentalstress) in control (mentalstress) in class (ct_entry)"
"Script execution error: [string "Fate Core:ct/scripts/ct_entry.lua"]:23: attempt to index global 'physical stress' (a nil value)"

These errors repeat four times in a row. Restarting the computer did not help. A new campaign did not exhibit the issue.

Ruleset(s): FATE Core only.

Extensions/Themes: Feature: Blank Skills, Fen's NPC Portrait Workaround, Player Agency, and Theme: FG Wood, typically. However, the issue persists even with no extensions or themes.

Modules Loaded: SmiteWorks calendar.

Operating System / Language Setting: Windows 11. English (United States).

Steps to Reproduce:

- In a Fate Core campaign (or at least, mine), open up the combat tracker.

Logs are attached.

Thank you in advance.

UPDATE: Based off of the error, I tried making sure all current actors in the Combat Tracker had a physical/mental stress value of more than zero (as some did have zero). This did not fix the issue, even after restarting FGU.

Remove all entries from the combat tracker and then see if you get the issue. If not, add back the PCs and NPC one-by-one - seeing if the error occurs with a specific PC/NPC.

How do you remove PCs from the Combat Tracker? I don't believe there is an option to do so, and deleting the PCs entirely seems like more trouble than fixing this is worth, considering the amount of information I'd lose.

Right click on the Combat Tracker. One of the options is delete entry.

NPCs/copies of PCs have the "Delete Entry" button, but actual PCs do not, and they are the entire population of my combat tracker.

That's weird. Plus I don't understand the difference between PCs and Copies of PCs... But, anyway, change the faction of the PCs to Hostile (click the green faces until they are red) and then from the CT menu select delete from tracker -> delete all non-friendly

Copies of PCs as in, if you put a PC in the CT and then put them in the CT again, they get added as a separate entry in a different, greener color, and those differently-colored copies can be removed. Although now that I've deleted them (your Hostile Faction trick worked) and re-added them, they seem to be that greener color from the get-go, and can be deleted without issue... I wonder if some update broke something, and I just had leftover broken CT entries? I'm not sure, but regardless, after removing them all and re-adding them, everything seems to have fixed itself as far as I can see.

Thank you both for the help.

EDIT: That color thing might just be because of factions. Regardless, I can say that a PC added again could only have the new one be deleted under my broken CT entries, I checked.

That makes sense - thanks for clarifying. I think the errors were causing the individual delete option not to show. As you say, probably an update at some point that resulted in those broken CT entries. Glad you got it fixed!
